Baltimore-based Brumar Films produces motion media products for a variety of clients ranging from independent filmmakers creating “shorts” and “feature films,” to corporate advertisements and training for web and broadcast. Started in 2009 by owner Bruce Martin Whittier, Brumar Films’ focus has been offering a full in-house workflow from concept to distribution, including traditional and specialty skills, as well as equipment rentals. About Our Crew
Baltimore is known for its deep crew base which allows us to hire freelancers as needed and tackle any size production from a 30 second commercial to a feature length film. But this is not only true locally as we have great connections to crews in DC, Philadelphia, and New York as well, providing a large support network. In house Brumar has a go to crew of directors, cinematographers, editors, graphic artists, and other key personnel that support our day-to-day production.
Bruce Martin Whittier – Owner / Cinematographer / Post VFX
Martin graduated from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Fl in August of 2004 with an Associate degree in Film and Video Production. He would later return to receive a Bachelor degree in Entertainment Business. Since film school he has worked as a high-speed cinematographer and video producer for the Department of Defense at Aberdeen, Maryland. This job allowed him to push the limits of what could be done with a camera while developing new skills.
Deciding to venture out into the commercial sector, Martin began working numerous projects under the Brumar Films banner for corporate promos, live events, short films, commercials, and feature length films.

Dan Poole – Director / Editor
Dan has been working in the local entertainment and video production industry since 1988, after producing his first short film at The National Aquarium in Baltimore. Since then he has developed a world-wide cult following as an Independent Filmmaker, and has worked in every size of production, from major Hollywood feature films, to local car ads and everything in between.
Broadening his freelance services in 1998, he has grown and kept a steady list of satisfied high profile clients such as Google, Nordstrom and The Weather Channel, as well as prominent local businesses including Cal Ripken Baseball, Len Stoler and Jones Junction. After joining forces with Brumar Films, DP has put the finishing touches on his first action/sci-fi feature film, "The Photon Effect."

Daniela Whittier – Multimedia Artist
Daniela has worked in the multimedia/graphics industry for the past 10 years, specializing in web and graphic design. She received her MA in Publications Design from The University of Baltimore in 2004, after studying graphic design and photography at York College of Pennsylvania, where she earned a BA in 2000. She went on to develop multimedia content for major goverment clients, including eLearning, web development, graphic design, and post-production video. Daniela has created several websites for Brumar Films clients, as well as this site, and she continues to expand Brumar's capabilities.

Jordan Marsh – Photographer / Assistant Camera Operator
Jordan attended Stevenson University in Stevenson, Maryland, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in film and videography, before continuing to study film and video at the Sheffield Institute for the Arts. After school, Jordan worked for Carroll Educational Television, where he performed video production and editing for live broadcasts.
